Instead doing the boomerang thing that i used to do. Try standing under the target and throwing a bommom straight up in the air. You do this while letting go of A, you press up to make the bomb fly through the air at a faster rate. You can also throw object at a faster velocity by thrusting the control stick in the direction that you are throwing. General

When you first get the game experiment with all the characters and practice with each of them. Once you know which one you like, play with him, her, or it, all the time unless going for a cheat or or something. One or two players works. I personaly like Samus. because of her moderate jumping, powerful attacks, and agility, and because she's cute. :) After you get experienced with that player, train as hard as you can. I liike doing stocks against three of the best players without a teammate. That way you get a challenge because everyone is against you. As DK, when you pick up enemies, you can carry them around. This way, you can take them to the edge, and then throw them over. Real easy to defeat opponents. Ultimate

Alright, there are a few tactics you could use to make you a master. The First Three Tactics are the ones most commonly used and the ones you will have to do quite often. (By the Way, Link Owns you all!) 1. Death from above (In Air, Down + A) This one is quite simple, and damaging too. Just jump above the target, and push down and A. It increases his speed as he goes towards the ground and can knock the target off the map almost as far as a smash. The only downside is that it takes about 2 seconds to recover from this move. 2. Bombs Away! (Down + B to get a bomb, then In Air, Down + A) This one is also quite simple, but takes about 2 seconds to get the bomb. Then jump above your target and drop the bomb via Down + A. If successful, it will do about %12 damage to a large range. Usefu, due to no recovery time. (Unless you are hit by it) 3. Double Kick This one is quite damaging, (I got 26% in one hit) and takes little to no time to recover or set up. Just stand in front of your target (considerable distance recommended), jump beyond your target (but not too far), and when you are not too far away, push Back and A. If successful, Link will kick twice and knock the target back. This one is great to surprise someone. Advanced Tactics =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- 1. Easy knock off This one worked for me when the enemy was still at 0%. Dash at your target, Attack, then when he/she is at the ledge, Smash them and immediately throw a boomerang and then get a bomb ready. As soon as you can, throw the bomb. there is about a 60% chance that the enemy will hit the boomerang or the bomb while trying to get back up. If it is in the One Player Tournament, just jump above them and throw the bomb. They will then fall off before you. Unfortunately, this will not work on Samus' Map or the Secret one. Kirby

An important part of smash bros. is throwing your opponent. an easy way to make them vulnerable is to use weak, rapid fire attack to get them to put their shield up. immedeately after they do, stop attacking and grab them, since this is the only way to damage them with their shield up. for most characters, you will want to use R to grab them, then hold back on the joystick to throw them backwards, which , for most characters, throws them farther and does more damage. However, if you are playing as Samus Aran, you will probably want to disregard using her throw altogether. Kirby
KO Tactics by

If your enemy has a hammer and you are playing as kirby, you can get an easy KO by flying above them and using his rock drop move. They will go flying and either drop the hammer, or hold onto it, but if they do they will not be able to get back up since they cant use any mid-air jumps or attacks while holding the hammer. Another strategy you can use with characters with good recovering skills i.e. kirby or ness is to hit them off the arena, then as they are coming back jump off and use your A and down attack, with kirby this is a drill kick. Your opponent will go flying downwards almost certainly dying, while Kirby can just float back up and use the cutter if neccessary. Yet another surprise tactic with kirby is if you are on kirby's or yoshi's level, you can KO your opponents incredibly easily. simply lure them to the edge of the arena, and jump upwards and away from the arena, then face your opponnent and use kirby's B move to suck them in. You will have them in your mouth and you should have posotioned yourself so you are falling down past the arena. just as soon as you are below the arena, spit them out and underneath the arena, then use all of your remaining jumps and the kirby cutter to get back up. Very few people can survive this if you use it right and the computers fall for it every time. |
